FDI Technician Manager – Temecula
Nature and Scope:
A member of the Forward Deployed Inventory Programs (FDIP) team and responsible for developing and overseeing processes related to the implementation and problem resolution of unique technologies used for forward deployed inventory. Coordinates amongst internal stakeholders and directs internal technology resources, providers of products, services and applications used to store and manage forward deployed. Uses detailed knowledge of FDIP machine technologies, data structures and data flow and related operational processes along with critical thinking skill sets to solve any number of problems that can arise throughout the FDIP supply chain and to train and teach others to solve such problems on their own.
Serves as FFF Enterprises highest level of technology support for unique FDIP devices and systems architecture.
Organizes and prioritizes work of technicians and problem-solving process in such a way to ensure that customer specific issues are addressed in urgent, expedient and efficient manner.
Ensures that problems and solutions are documented and recommends preventive measures or problem-solving processes to implement that can become best practice for the FDIP team.
Continually enhances personal expertise in relevant FDIP technology such as electro-mechanical technology, imaging systems, temperature monitors, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), device controllers, and device controller software.
Stays abreast of the requirements for biologics, vaccines, and pharmaceutical cold chain compliance as it relates to both federal and state requirements.
Defines and documents the FDIP functional requirement that suppliers are held accountable to and that meet internal and external customer requirements.
Coordinates configuration, setup or refurbishment processes at 3PL provider and/or internally to ensure effective and efficient deployment of FDIP devices.
Coordinates, performs, and/or assists in training to facilitate user adoption of the company's technologies.
Coordinates 3PL and/or internal teams to build and coordinate the FDIP retrofit, refurbishment and repair activities.
Continuously strives to improve processes, and service quality to internal and external customers.
Comply with the policies and procedures stated in the Injury and Illness Prevention Program by always working in a safe manner and immediately reporting any injury, safety hazard, or program violation.
Ensure conduct is consistent with all Compliance Program Policies and procedures when engaging in any activity on behalf of the Company. Immediately report any concerns or violations.

Annual estimated FDIP Inventory of $40 million
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience trouble shooting technology that involves the integration of data and machinery.
Deep understanding of how machine controls and middleware interacts with IT solutions.
Experience working with at least one of the following: electro-mechanical machines, RFID or imaging systems.
Understanding of systems networking, database design, hardware, application integration, and real time data capture.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong presentation skills; ability to clearly present and discuss specific problem and related solution in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to communicate (and work) effectively with people from different technical and business backgrounds, acting as a liaison, understanding and appreciating different perspectives and translating into terms necessary for any group or individual to understand.
Understanding of and experience using Six Sigma and Lean techniques to address project and operational processes.
Strong computer skills and competent user of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Teamwork, Access Visio).
Willing to travel at least 20% of time.

Education and Experience Desired:
Prefer four-year degree or equivalent required; technology related field is preferred. Experience and training in machine technology integration, IoT design and deployment, maintenance management in automated environment, logistics experience, pharmaceutical manufacturing or distribution and associated systems, and artificial intelligence (AI) are all relevant.
Typical Office Environment:
Combination of office and shop floor. The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate.
Operate office equipment, hand tools, and electrical troubleshooting devices.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, controls and equipment. The employee must be able to walk, sit and stand. The employee occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally kneels and bends.
Visual requirement is for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
50% or more time is spent looking directly at a computer.
Associate is frequently required to stand, walk, or carry heavy items.
Ability to deal with stressful situations as they arise.
